ENERGIES 2050 France

Description

ENERGIES 2050 is a global network and association dedicated to sustainable development and climate change. With members from over 100 nationalities, it has developed a systemic, multi-level, and inclusive approach, implementing innovative projects in more than 70 countries. The association supports governments and organizations in creating low-carbon strategies in line with global agendas such as the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), climate action, and biodiversity preservation.

Role in the project

ENERGIES 2050 is involved in nearly all activities (except WP3). E2050 leads WP7 'Market and Business Strategy Definition and Exploitation,' as well as Task 7.1 'Market Analysis and Purchasing Capabilities Study,' Task 7.2 'Identification of Financial Instruments and Aid Programs and Recommendations,' and Task 8.4 'Networking, Knowledge Sharing, and Joint Activities.' E2050 also pilots Task 6.4 'Policy Recommendations to Enhance Renewable Energy Access and Transition in Africa.'

The mission of the NGO is to empower and develop communities through ICT (Information Communication Technology), provision of advice and support, workshops and conferences, talent shows and exhibitions, exchange and learning visits and sports activities in a bid to build their economic and social resilience, enhance peaceful coexistence and promote sustainable environmental practices to mitigate climate change.
Under the SUNNY project, CTEN is set to extend its operations to Rwanda and South Sudan respectively.
